Last week I have installed 3ds max design 2012 and backburner on some new company laptops in order to use them as render slaves. But unfortunately, the server application did not start (no error message, no task in the task manager). Driver Huawei K3565 Rev 2.

Backburner would not install twice, nor would it uninstall once. I used the Microsoft Tool you suggested and ultimately slew the monster, but it took most of my wireless mouseware and all my video drivers with it. (WHY does every program I install think it is the only one on my computer and try to overide all my settings? If changes to screen resolution or other essential functions are necessary, could they at leastt revert to the original when the program closes?

Without your helpful suggestion to use Mr. FIxit, though, I'd be out to the window ( not Windows) repair store, and then Future Shop for a new monitor. Thanks to you, I survived my ordeal. However, with so many installation/deinstallation issues attached to Backburner, I would hesitate to- as in never in a billion years- trust it with an actual project!
